New England VegFest Food Permit Application

Food permits are required for all exhibitors selling fresh food or beverages, sampling any open food or beverages, and for all food or beverages prepared outside a commercial kitchen (packaged or fresh).

The deadline to apply for a food permit is 5/20/24.

Food vendors must apply online to get a temporary food permit for NEVF through the City of Worcester. If you have any questions please reach out to Jen at jen@vegfest.org.

Below are instructions for filling out the permit application from the City of Worcester:

  • Visit the application web page.
  • Click the APPLY ONLINE button at the top and set up your account and password.
  • CHOOSE TEMPORARY FOOD 1-15 DAYS.
  • When asked for the Location in Step 2, type "Wellness" and select "486 CHANDLER ST, Unit WELLNESS CENTER, Worcester, MA."
  • Make sure to upload your SERVSAFE FOOD MANAGERS and ALLERGEN AWARENESS certifications.
  • You will need to upload a copy of the permit from your local health department.
  • There are also required revenue and workers comp documents that are part of the application and need to be filled out.
  • The cost is $60.
